Design of public open space for new housing development in Ulverston, part of the picturesque Lakes District, UK. This unique site balances both recreational and ecological issues with the creation of dual use open space and flood attenuation basins. A pattern of native trees, scrub and shrubs follow a series of connected basins with walking paths and localised play moments.
